Just arrived at RUF Auto Centre is this very rare RUF manufactured RGT.
The RUF manufactured cars start life as a "Body in White" from Porsche and are built from the ground up to the customers specifications and desires. Once completed the cars are issued a RUF Vehicle Identification Number and are issed a RUF Manufacturer Statement of Origin.
The particular RGT is one of only two in the USA that was built using the new 997 body shell.
This RUF RGT was ordered with the following customer specific options:
- Viper Green ( an old IROC Porsche racing color from the early 70's )
- Lightweight Interior Package - including lightweight door panels)
- Carbon Fiber Doors
- RUF Integrated Roll Cage
- RUF 3.8 Liter 445hp Engine
- Lightweight Flywheel
- Linear Transmission Gearing ( like a Porsche Cup Car )
- RUF Fully Adjustable Coil Over Suspension
- 6 Point Harnesses and 3 Point Safety Belts
This RGT has been published in several magazine articles and would no doubt make a perfect addition to any collection.
