Note from our client
So, I thought it would be a good idea to set out for you all the history of this car so you can include it in your description.  History is super important to true Vette lovers, and this car gets an A+.  So it's really crucial potential buyers know what there is to know (and someone who doesn't care about history shouldn't be buying this car).
You will see a folder full of papers and documents that tell you a lot-- including Bloomington Gold winner documentation, and NCRS Top Flight documentation.  Bloomington and NCRS are the two most important laurels one of these cars can get, and this got both.
I visited John several times over several months.  On one visit, I asked him "what is the one car in here you DON'T want to sell."  He pointed out the white '72 tucked in the corner.  I asked him to explain why, and in great detail he went through the car with me.  Perfect bonding strips.  No repaints.  All parts correctly date coded.  Fully option with power windows and A/C.  The famous 454cid.
I told him that's the car I want to buy.  At first he did not want to sell it-- at the time it was signed up for the NCRS meet in Calabasa, and he said he wanted to take the car for NCRS Top Flight.  We ultimately agreed that I would buy the car, but that we'd take it together to the NCRS show.
At the NCRS show, the car scored great.  Score sheet in papers.  It was missing the little bag of seat shims (which I later purchased and are in car).  EVERYTHING worked, including factory alarm.   The best part was when two of the judges got locked in an argument whether there had been any repaint.  One was positive there had been no paintwork, the other could not see any sign of paintwork, but just felt the car was too nice to be original.
After the judging, the senior judge (who owns a 71 or 72 Stingray himself), asked me if I'd be willing to sell my car to him.  Of course, I had no interest in selling (but was very flattered).
I have since then taken the car to various casual cruise-ins, and it always attracts lots of attention from knowledgeable Corvette guys.  This is a great car for someone who wants the real thing, and is willing to pay for it.  It's not for pretenders or bargain hunters.
