Description

In 1939, the Dodge Division if the Chrysler Corporation was a leading producer of a light and Medium duty commercial Vehicles. That year, an all new design was released, which in addition to providing "Ram-Tough" service was also quite attractive. With its full rounded Fenders, on top of which were mounted powerful headlights, an all-steel welded cab design and rock solid chassis, these vehicles were considered some of the best in the industry. Drivers found that full instrumentation helped them monitor the engine's performance, with a large speedometer centered in front of the driver and flanked by individual gauges, which included fuel level, temperature, oil pressure and an ammeter. Shifting the truck is accomplished trough a floor-mounted lever; the clutch is spring light enough to be used by nearly anyone, yet string enough   to let you know that it is properly engaged. Helping to keep both the driver and passenger comfortable on warm days, a crank mechanism on the dashboard opens the lower portion of the windshield to provide some flow-trough ventilation.

Originally built at Chrysler's Windsor Plant in Ontario, Canada, this truck was purchased from descendants of the original family who bought it new from a Chrysler dealer in Red Deer, Alberta. It has benefited from a Complete Frame-Off restoration to its original color, and retains its well-appoitned workhorse looks from over 65 Years ago. The current odometer reading 53,265 is believe to be original from New. The 1941 Dodge Pickup we have the pleasure to offering is equipped with dual side mirrors, dual cowl lights, whitewall tires and after market turn signals mounted on the fenders. Those Lucky enough to be able to ride in this truck are sure to keep warm with the original and rare Dodge Inferno recirculation hot-water heater.
