EMG is pleased to offer this beautiful 1980 Ferrari 512BB! Carbureted Version highly desirable and collectible. Last of the Flat 12 Cylinder Carb Cars!
Fully serviced and just needs some finish work to be a collectors centerpiece.
This Ferrari 512BB had been in storage for 3 years prior to being taken out for a full engine Rebuild and freshen up earlier this year.
Car is highly original aside from the usual small amounts of paintwork here and there and is a Driver quality car aside from a few more things that need to be addressed to make it a High Quality driver or a great candidate for restoration to take advantage of the current market on these Carbureted examples!
The engine was just completely rebuilt by “North Coast Exotic’s Inc.” in Cleveland, OH.
This is the explanation of repairs from North Coast Exotic’s and the repair invoice is available as well.
“Car Arrived with heavy oil smoke while running, Engine removed and rebuilt with new bearings, Seals, Gaskets, Valves and guides, 2 cracked pistons and 2 scuffed liners replaced, cylinders diamond honed and engine assembled – Oil rings and guide clearances hand set – water pump rebuilt – belts and tensioners pulley’s changed. Block painted and cam covers powder coated – flywheel surfaced and new clutch installed – rebuilt starter installed – balance of car assembled using hardware, hoses and exhaust car came with (per owners request) – Fuel tanks drained and flushed – all new fluids used – oil and filters changed after break in drive. Mild tune-up done and 1 leaky carb repaired.”
We bought this car during this process, which took a lot longer than originally anticipated. Process took a few months.
Upon us receiving the vehicle at our California warehouse we had an inspection performed by “Fast Cars Ltd” in Redondo Beach to see what else car needs to be made correct and fully functional. Needless to say they came up with a list.

As expected this is a large list but also a very thorough one. The total estimate to repair and replace parts through Fast Cars Ltd is right around $35,000.00 and has been said it can be taken care of in about a 5-week process.
All this being said these cars are obviously rising in value at a rapid rate right now and with the January Auction season upon us and a couple of high quality examples set to go across the blocks of different auctions these cars are set for another jump in price.
We have seen examples sell in the high $400,000 range for very nice cars and expect these cars to cross the $500,000 dollar mark in January.
